There is an interesting movement taking place around the world, a movement that won’t be reported on in any mainstream newspapers. There are a growing number of Jews who – while not being against Israel in theory – are against Zionism. When a Gentile speaks out against Israel in general or the policy of the US over there, she or he is labeled an anti-Semite; however, what happens when a Jew speaks out against a section of his or her own people? When I first started writing the occasional blog or getting involved in a random conversation about being anti-Zionist, I felt like Bill Cosby when he made his infamous statement a few years ago. People looked at me – and called me – a bad Jew, a person who is against his own people. As the months wore on, I started meeting people here and there that were also Jewish and against the actions Israel is and has been taking. I began to read about surveys where large chunks – sometimes even the majority – of Israeli citizens were against most of the offensive actions Israel takes against Palestine, Lebanon, and other Arab and Muslim countries whom they view a threat. I began to meet non-Jews who were neither pro-Israel nor anti-Semite. Now there is a new book out entitled “If I Am Not For Myself: Journey of An Anti-Zionist Jew, that explains how it is possible to love one’s people while disagreeing with the policies being enacted by them. I – probably like Mike Marqusee, the author of the above-mentioned book – love people and think we are all equal, no matter what. When I see vicious acts being done to people with the same history as me, of course I feel something inside that makes me want to stop it, but at the same time, if “my people” are doing something to people of another color or who speak another language, I also feel the same sense of wanting to do something.

  1. I might have some interest in your site if I could easily read it. The dark gray background makes it very difficult to read. What is the purpose of this?

    You may have some interesting points, but I’m moving on.

  2. Only Israel benefits from these endless Middle East wars. Iraq is the beginning. As we commit war-crimes in Baghdad, the US gov’t commits treason at home by opening mail, eliminating habeas corpus, using the judiciary to steal private lands, banning books like “America Deceived” from Amazon and Wikipedia, conducting warrantless wiretaps and engaging in illegal wars on behalf of AIPAC’s ‘money-men’. Soon, another US false-flag operation will occur (sinking of an Aircraft Carrier by Mossad) and the US will invade Iran.. Then we’ll invade Syria, then Saudi Arabia, then Lebanon (again) then ….

  3. Boycott as a citizen of the earth against the modern day Trail of Tears. Do not purchase any items that start with the UPC 729. Every monster has a weakness, theirs is money and the truth.

    Google:

    * Balfour Declaration

    The truth will set us all free.

  4. As a serious student of history, I have come to the belief that Zionism, and the Jewish religion itself, have been hijacked for purposes that have nothing to do with Zionism and everything to do with the seizure of Middle East petroleum resources as Peak Oil sets in. The British government (through Lawrence of Arabia) used Arab nationalism to drive out the Turkish Empire on the cheap during WWI, creating a power vacuum. Then in 1918 the British made the Balfour Declaration, announcing official support for a Jewish state in Palestine. Nothing much happened, so Hitler (the Jewish “Pearl Harbor”) was financed into power by outside interests to give the Jews the nudge they needed to create Israel.

    The never-ending conflict between Israel and the Palestinians is policy. It requires constant provocations to keep the pot stirred up because the whole modus operandi of the global ruling elite is thesis + antithesis = synthesis. Create a problem and control the outcome. The desired outcome is control of the last large oil deposits on the planet just as oil begins to run out, and becomes fabulously expensive. This whole plot has been playing out for a century, and when the usefulness of Israel is finished the international bankers will discard the Jews and Zionism as casually as they are now murdering Iraqis. We live on a planet ruled by the psychopathically greedy, and we all: Jews, gentiles, Muslims, conservatives, liberals, east, west, north, and south need to discover who the real enemy is before we can find peace.

  5. Good post about this forbidden topic. I have gravitated toward being an anti-Zionist person who has a Jewish family (well, half of them are). Being in secularized, pop culture America tends to make people irreligious anyway, unless their family’s involvement in religion is strong.

    And as any Jew will tell you the “pull” of Judaism is quite strong, even if primarily in negative terms–guilt, suffering, etc. I think it goes so far as to bring about conditioned responses (by design, no less).

    My band has a song called “Pavlov’s Jews” where I address this topic (see link above to listen/read lyrics). Bang your head while using your brain!
